Multiplication

Common core multiplication works with the “box method”. For example, multiplying 7 x 23. First you divide a large number into its separate parts, 23 becomes 2 and 3. Next you multiply each separate part 20 x 7 and 3 x 7. Finally, you at all products together 140 + 21 = 161.  The product of 7x23=161.
