Prepositions are words that link nouns, pronouns and phrases to other words in a sentence.they often described a vision of something or the time but something happened. For example at, in and on are prepositions in the sentences: at someone's house, in the water, on an island.

Pronouns refer to people places and things and take the place of nouns. Pronouns include I, me, we and they. Some pronouns indicate possession or ownership. Personal pronouns are used in sentences as a subject, object or possessive. A pronoun is a type of noun. For example: Andrea is funny. She is funny. She is the pronoun.

An adjective is a word that you use to describe a person, place, or thing. An adjective modifies nouns or pronouns. Without adjectives we would not know if you had a disastrous day at school or a fantastic day at school. Disastrous and fantastic are examples of adjectives.

An adverb is a word that modifies a verb, adjective, preposition or a sentence. Abverbs usually express place, time, frequency, or the level of certainty. They answered questions such as how? In what way? When? where? Most adverbs are formed by adding-ly to an adjective.
