Peppers are technically fruits. Peppers challenge our taste buds to live on the edge. Chili peppers are  primarily used as a seasoning. Peppers love the summertime heat and grow well in dry weather. The Carolina Reaper is certified as the world's hottest chili pepper by the Guinness Book of World Records. Native North Americans tribes used peppers in many rituals. Chili peppers played spiritually important roles in the Hopi and Pueblo tribes of the Southwest.

Agriculture is another word for farming. Agriculture includes harvesting crops and raising animals for livestock. Agriculture provides the food and raw materials that we need to survive. Agriculture is the heart of our daily life and vital to the economy and to our community. Farming cannot exist without farmers producing high-quality safe foods for us to eat.
