Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins. When proteins are digested or broken down amino acids are left. A large portion of our cells, muscles and tissues are made up of amino acids. There are more than 50 amino acids and each one is a little different. Amino acids are used in every cell of your body to build the proteins you need to survive.
