Recycle and reuse is very important for all of us to do because waste has a huge negative impact on the natural environment. Harmful chemicals and greenhouse gases are released from trash in landfills. Recycling helps to reduce the pollution caused by trash. Recycling reduces the need for raw materials so that forests, trees and rainforests can be preserved.

YOU CAN HELP STOP GLOBAL WARMING BY RECYCLING! The global climate is projected to continue to change over this century and beyond. The magnitude of climate change beyond the next few decades depends on the amount of heat trapping gases emitted globally and how sensitive the Earth's climate is to those emissions causing this global warming.  According to NASA the Earth's average temperature has increased about 2°F during the 20th century. 2° may sound like a small amount but it's a very unusual event in our recent history. Global climate change has already had observable effects on the environment where glaciers have shrunk and ice on rivers and lakes are breaking up earlier. Trees and flowers are flowering sooner than in years past too.
