The Dust Bowl what is the name given to the drought stricken southern plains regions of the United States which suffered severe dust storms in the 1930s. From Texas to Nebraska people and livestock were killed and crops failed across the entire region. The depletion of topsoil because of over cultivation and drought caused the phenomenon. The drought and dust destroyed a large portion of US agriculture production and made the Great Depression even worse.
