In grammar parallelism is also known as parallel structure. It is the balance within one or more sentences that use similar phrasing or clauses that have the same grammatical structure. For example a sentence that lacks parallelism would be: Wendy likes running, cooking and to read. a parallel sentence would be: Wendy likes running, cooking and reading.
