Fact vs. Opinion Essay: In an opinion essay you prove your point of view on the subject building an argument that will explain how you have come to this conclusion. It is essential to present your facts clearly and it is easy to understand manner so your audience is not left guessing how you feel. A fact-based essay can be verified and backed up with evidence. An Opinion essay that is based on a belief or view is not always verifiably provable with evidence. Like all papers you will need an introduction, a thesis statement and reasons for your paper. You will need the body broken into several paragraphs where you provide arguments, examples, statements or facts. Lastly you will need a conclusion restating the main thesis summarizing the central point of the essay.
