A food chain is an interconnected sequence in an echo system where one organism eats another and is eaten by another and so one. A food chain starts from producer organisms and ends at apex predators or decomposers species. A food chain represents how organisms are related with each other by the food that they eat. A food chain describes how different organisms eat each other starting out with plants and generally ending with animals. For example grass is eaten by bugs ,who were eaten by frogs, who were eaten by birds, that were eaten by cats, the cats die and decompose and were eaten by worms that grow the grass and all starts over again!

Agriculture is another word for farming. Agriculture includes harvesting crops and raising animals for livestock. Agriculture provides the food and raw materials that we need to survive. Agriculture is the heart of our daily life and vital to the economy and to our community. Farming cannot exist without farmers producing high-quality safe foods for us to eat. produces food for nature's food web and re-channels energy for human planting and animal consumption.

Life in a small habitat, like a pond, can teach you about the lifecycle of many different plants and animals that live in and around  a pond. A pond is a specialized ecosystem and contains insects, birds, reptiles, mammals and fish. Ponds are small freshwater habitats that provide a home to many plants and animals. Many of the creatures that live in a pond are too small to be seen with the naked eye. Inside the water are tiny floating organisms called plankton. Plankton can either be animal or plant like. An ecosystem is a biological community of interacting organisms and their physical environment. An ecosystem includes all of the living things in a given area. An ecosystem would include plants, animals and organisms. These living creatures interact with nonliving environments including the rocks, sand and soil. In an ecosystem each organism has its own role to play.
