Light is electromagnetic radiation within a certain portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. The word usually refers to what we perceive as visible light in the visible spectrum that the human eye can see through its sense of sight. Light has wavelengths. The main source of life on earth is the sun. Sunlight provides the energy that green plants used to create sugars mostly in the form of starches which release energy into living things and feed us all. The primary properties of visible light are intensity, direction, frequency, wavelength spectrum and polarization. Light is reflected following the law of reflection. The law of reflection is when a ray of light is reflected from a smooth surface the angle of reflection is equal to the angle of incidence, and the incident ray, the reflected ray, and the normal to the surface at the point of incidence all lie at the same plane.
