Electric motors are everywhere. They are all over your household appliances and cars we drive every day. Almost every mechanical movement that you see around you is caused by a motor. In general motors are either AC alternating current, or DC direct current electric.A motor as an electrical machine which converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. The principle of a working DC motor is that whenever a current carrying conductor is placed in a magnetic field it experiences a mechanical force. The principle of an AC motor is the induction motor always relies on a small difference in speed between the stator rotating magnetic field in the rotor shaft speed called slip to induce rotor current in the rotor AC winding.
We use simple machines, without motors, in the real world every day. Examples include the levers, garage doors, levers, seesaws, hammers, scissors, knives, wheels, light bulbs, pulleys and many more. Human beings have become so successful as a species on Earth due to our mastery of tools and simple machines. We don't even realize the amount of simple machines we use every day. Tools that make work easier and allow us to accomplish more work while spending less energy set us apart from animals. There many types of simple machines including pulleys, levers, wheels, wedges, inclined planes and screws.
