The emission of energy as electromagnetic waves is called radiation. Radiation involves moving sub atomic particles especially high-energy particles that cause ionization. Electromagnetic Waves are created as a result of vibrations between an electric field and a magnetic field.
The Electromagnetic spectrum is the range of frequencies of electromagnetic radiation and their respective wave lengths and photon energies. The electromagnetic spectrum covers electromagnetic waves with a wide range of frequencies. This frequency range is divided into separate bands called by different names beginning at the low-frequency or long wavelength that include radio waves and microwaves. At the high-frequency or short wavelength and there are x-rays and gamma rays. For an electric current to happen there must be a circuit. A circuit is a closed path or a loop around which an electric current flows. A circuit is usually made by linking electrical components together with pieces of wire cable.
